About Broughton Farm Caravan Park
Broughton Farm Caravan Park is a family-owned caravan holiday park located on the beautiful Gower Peninsula, South Wales. In 1956 Gower became the first region in the UK to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The park has been run by the same family since 1918 when they became tenants of the farm and then went on to purchase it in the early 1930s. It has been run by 4 generations of the family with the 5th generation now joining the business.
Broughton was originally spelt “Brufton”, however it is thought that it was changed in the 1800s to anglaise the name. Aside from farming, Broughton Farm originally provided bed and breakfast and camping in the 1920s welcoming the Scouts as their first regular guests. Home built touring caravans started arriving before the second world war and the park changed to accept caravan holiday homes only from the 1950s. Today we have 250 privately owned plots which are enjoyed by our wonderful customers.
As a family business, we welcome back many families each year, some of whom, have enjoyed their childhood summers with us and now are returning with their own children or grandchildren. Some of our customers’ families started holidaying at Broughton after the second world war and their family still own caravans with us today.
We are thoroughly spoilt with our location which is just a short stroll to Broughton Bay and offers beautiful scenery nestled amongst the dunes. There are plenty of walks to enjoy or just quiet evenings relaxing in your caravan. We would love to hear from you, please send us your questions via our Contact Us page.
